Birthday Suite

The secret is out - I turned 29!

I have never felt more content, happy, and settled in my skin. Maybe with age does come wisdom. Well, let's hope. Ha!

I feel as though you should make it a point to look glamorous for your birthday. I mean, come on. Your birthday is YOUR DAY. I make it a point not to work my birthday – best decision EVER. I treat it like a national holiday. Now only if everyone else can get on board.

For my birthday dinner at Kits Daily Kitchen, which by the way is my favourite restaurant, I decided on straight hair, smokey eyes, and one of my many little black dresses. I love the leather panel detailing on this dress – found on clearance at Mexx. I know, I’m pretty amazing. The bling to this outfit was accredited to the sequin purse, large earrings, and gold cuff.

Here’s looking forward to another year full of happiness, health, fun, and fabulous fashion.

I’m Blushing

I ran out of blush. This is a first world problem – I get that. But honestly, this is no joke. I decided to take a stroll through the lanes at Shoppers. They actually have some very good brands available. But I decided that I didn’t really want to spend $15.00 - $25.00 on blush. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE Nars blush, but I decided to try something new and affordable.

Enter Rimmel London Blush # 130 Pink Sorbet

Overall, I am pretty pleased. It lasts for a very long time and goes on quite well. However, I am not very impressed with the packaging / container. It’s extremely difficult to open and I chipped my darn nail polish. Hmmm.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

What a night it was.

My gorgeous sister turned 28! We are actually the same age for 6 days. So to celebrate beautiful Linda, her girlfriends got together for a girls’ night out.

I decided to go with one of my go-to outfits. I had to rush after work so I grabbed one of my little black dresses (found at Winners a few years ago on clearance for $20.00) and of course, bedazzled it up with jewelry. I decided to wear my black boots with gold studs for a touch of toughness.

What an amazing opportunity to see what all of the girls were wearing. From Italian designer shoes, jackets from Dynamite, and Joe Fresh leggings, the combinations were unexpected and truly amazing! The best accessories of all were the gorgeous smiles and fun attitudes.
