Vegas Trippin’

The secret is out. I’m a Vegas virgin. But this will all change soon. I am going to Vegas with 6 girls next week!

As soon as the tickets were booked, the next thing on everyone’s mind was “what are we going to wear?” Let’s face it. Half the fun of going away with your girlfriends is planning outfits and getting dressed up while away.

I started to panic about my wardrobe attire. I mean, I don’t own any “Vegas” type outfits.  Thank God. But then I thought that I needed some “Vegas” type outfits. Following the advice of some Vegas pros, I decided to head to Sirens. No offence to anyone who shops there.

I was trying on dresses in the fitting room when I had an “uh ha” moment. Oprah would have been proud. Well, let’s back it up. My reflection in the mirror was not my usual familiar and pretty self. A skin tight short sparkly dress made for a 19 year old skinny bitch was awkwardly staring back at me. Ha! My 19 year old self called and she told me to get a f^*&%$# life.

Moment of realization as the clouds opened up and the fashion angels start to sing. I actually think I laughed out loud.

I am a happily married 29 year old woman who doesn’t enjoy running around half clothed at the best of times so WHY THE HELL am I trying on dresses that I would never wear again? This moment of realization was refreshing and FREEING.

I’ve decided to DO ME. You know, fashionable and chic outfits which will truly showcase the fabulous Ramona as she always is. Vegas or not, I am who I am. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not dressing like a nun or anything, just nothing over the top that I wouldn’t wear in my real life

The only thing I walked out of Sirens with was a knitted cable dress which I will be wearing as a swim suit cover up. It was only $2.99.

Here are some of the outfits I will be packing:

Salt and Pepper

Salt and pepper are the two best spices right?

As I said yesterday all the girls were asked to wear a LBD to Linda's pre-wedding festivities. It was so much fun to see the variations of the LBD.

I have to apologize for the quality of the photos.  As the night progressed, so did my alcohol intake, which lead to a few fuzzy pictures. Ha! But then again, isn't that the point of a bachelorette?

The Bride to Be

Linda decided to wear a simple white spaghetti strap top and a white embroidered skirt with a pair of sky high gold glitter heels. She managed to add a slight edge to the understated elegant outfit by adding chunky jewelry.

There was something very fresh and young about her that night. Maybe it was her beautiful smile. Or maybe it was the fact that I was seeing my beautiful baby sister getting ready to transition to the next phase of her life. Regardless, she was absolute perfection. And we all knew it!

Congratulations my Love!
